St Cyprian’s School, an historic, innovative, Anglican Girls’ School seeks to fill the following position, with effect from January 2020.

School Caretaker and Transport Manager
The successful incumbent will:

have had previous experience in a similar role
have a valid Code 10 Drivers Licence
have well developed logistical and middle management skills/experience
be organised, efficient and be able to work independently as well as in a team
be Computer Literate
have a Health and Safety qualification (advantageous but not compulsory)

The incumbent will occupy premises at the School (i.e. reside on Campus) and be responsible for, including but not limited to, the following:

Manage the transport logistics of the school including managing a small team of drivers and their schedules
Provide emergency access to the school site and lock/unlock school buildings
Undertake regular security checks and identify security risks
Monitor fire safety equipment and carry out fire drills
Monitor CCTV or surveillance equipment where appropriate
Liaise with security and surveillance contractors where appropriate
Ensure lights and other equipment are switched off as appropriate
Assist with the receipt, distribution, collection and despatch of goods
Maintain the security of school premises by securing entrances/exits as appropriate and reporting potential security breaches
Organise and administer the use and maintenance of all school vehicles and carry out driving duties when required by the Facilities Manager
Be responsible for access control and security on the campus as well as traffic management
