An exciting full day permanent opportunity exists for an OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE, based at Life Occupational Health Two Rivers/Dwarsrivier Clinic near Steelpoort / Burgersfort/Lydenburg area, Limpopo. The successful candidate will be responsible for the rendering of a quality Occupational Health service, which is effective and efficient, and meets and exceeds customers’ expectations and requirements.


Critical Outputs

Occupational Health medical examinations as per legal & client requirements – site specific.

Occupational Health Service to establish the physical, psychological and social wellbeing of the worker in a safe working environment.

Trending & comparisons of employee’s health status on a year-to-year basis.

Providing information, the Client can utilize to eliminate, control and minimize health risks and hazards to which the employees are, or may be exposed.

Working effectively within a budget.

Delivering high quality healthcare services.

Meeting administration needs timeously.

Meeting the prescribed professional and quality standards of both Life Occupational Health and the client/s


Degree or Diploma in General Nursing and Occupational Health Nursing, with 2 years’ relevant post-graduation experience, in a mining environment.

Registration with SANC (the SANC receipt to reflect the Occupational Health Qualification).

Sound knowledge in the provision and management of Occupational and Primary Health Care Services.

Certificate in dispensing and a dispensing license.

Certificates in:

Spirometry, Vision screening and Audiometry, as well as up to date SASOHN registration, as an Audiometrist

Multi-drug testing (preferred).

HIV Counselling and Testing (preferred).

Computer literacy is essential (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ideally, the candidate should have experience in clinic services and employee management and have good communication skills.

Candidates who are results orientated, have initiative and the ability to deliver quality outputs will be most suitable for this position.

Customer orientation, focus and teamwork complete the profile.

The shortlisted candidate may be required to meet with the Client to obtain final approval.

A complete fitness to work (including a drug test) medical examination will be required, conducted at the Client’s on-site clinic.

Need to be on standby after hours on a rotation basis.
